Oak beds have always been known for their strength, build quality and timeless appeal. Our customers who normally want to buy an oak bed from us know that due to its strong properties, oak will last them a long time and will withstand many more knocks than a wooden bed made out of timber such as pine.

Oak is classified in the furniture trade as a hardwood. Due to its strength it means that it is really difficult to gouge, break or damage – this is because of its high crushing strength.

As well as being a sturdy hardwood, oak is attractive in appearance and for this reason coupled with its strength is used regularly by craftsmen to create flooring and furniture such as beds.
